Week Seven

Well, it's Thanksgiving week. I spent it in Connecticut at my sister's house. I didn't exactly stick with the calendar, and I think I ate more this week than I usually eat in a month. I did get to work out a bit, without taking away from spending lots of time with the family.

Well, I missed Monday (which was okay since it's a rest day, after all), and then I missed Tuesday and Wednesday. Travel, first day with the family... working out just wasn't happening. On Thursday morning, I went on a great run. It was 6.6 miles, and very hilly. It took me 75 minutes, which I thought wasn't too bad considering the hills. It was about 50 degrees and sunny, the leaves were falling off the trees, and the views beautiful. I did the same run on Friday morning, only this time it was 34 degrees out. It took me the same amount of time, though, so I guess the temperature didn't affect me too much. (But it sure did help me to appreciate that Santa Cruz isn't as cold as I think it is!) On Saturday morning, my sister and I didn't want to venture out into what became 23 degree weather, so we did a kickboxing video. Um, that counts, doesn't it?

Body check: I'm sore from those runs. The tendons around my ankles are really tender. I think my knee is definitely getting better, though! The back feels tight, but it is certainly not painful.
